💾 Managing Recording Storage Usage
Learn how to monitor your storage usage, understand quotas, and manage your recording files effectively.
Checking Your Storage
- Go to your profile page
- View "Storage Usage" section
- See total used vs. available
- Breakdown by file type (recordings, albums, etc.)
Storage Quotas
Storage limits by plan:
- Free: 8GB per user (non-pooled for free-only bands)
- Pro: 20GB per user (pools across all your bands)
- Premium: 50GB per user (pools across all your bands)
Pooled Storage
How storage pooling works:
- Paid members' storage pools together in shared bands
- Example: 2 Pro members = 40GB for that band
- Free members don't pool - each gets 8GB individually
- Bands with all free members are capped at 8GB total
What Uses Storage
Files that count toward your quota:
- Recordings - Full set recordings and song recordings
- Recording Splits - Individual song files from splits
- Normalized Versions - Normalized audio files
- Album Artwork - Album cover images
- Video Files - Uploaded video files
- Audio Samples - Band audio samples
Freeing Up Space
Ways to reduce storage usage:
Delete Old Recordings
- Go to setlist recordings page
- Review old recordings you no longer need
- Delete recordings that aren't useful
- Keep your best performances
Delete Unwanted Splits
- Review split recordings
- Delete splits that didn't turn out well
- Keep only your best takes
Normalize Before Uploading
- For files over 300MB, normalize on your computer first
- Reduces file size while maintaining quality
- Use Audacity, FFmpeg, or similar tools
Storage Best Practices

- Consider upgrading if you regularly hit limits
- Pool storage by having multiple paid members in your band
Upgrading Storage
If you need more space:
- Upgrade to Pro (20GB) or Premium (50GB)
- Storage pools with other paid members
- Check pricing page for current plans
